Annual– flowering and accent plants grown from seed or cutting, bred to grow and give you color all season long. Although annuals will only last one season, their color display makes them well worth the investment for your landscape. It also allows you to change your color scheme from year to year. Before planting annuals, you first need to determine the amount of sunlight the plants will receive. We have a few definitions for you to go by: Full Sun= six hours or more of sun; Sun/Part Sun= 4 hours or more of sun; Part Shade/Shade=morning sun only, no hot afternoon sun. After determining what sun exposure you have, we will be able to help you pick out the best plants for your area. Correct Watering Habits are essential with all annuals. Water daily during the summer, when the nights have finally warmed up. Fertilize your annuals bi-weekly with a blossom booster like Jack’s Classic. Here at Hickory Grove, we have a tremendous selection of Annuals in all sizes. Below is just a sample of our annual selection: |

We not only grow our own baskets, but we also hand pick the ‘best of the best’ plants from Proven Winners and Simply Beautiful Gardens, because of their minimal amount of care. When planting our Hanging Baskets and Patio Pots, we pay close attention to the plants we are choosing. Our combinations are chosen because they work well together, require the same amounts of sun and water and most importantly, because they look beautiful in a mixed container. For example: Our trailing petunias are from cutting not seed. What does this mean to you? NO DEADHEADING!!! They will bloom continuously without needing to be cleaned. All you have to do is water and fertilize. We carry many sizes of hanging baskets. Our standard 10 inch basket is available in many varieties for both sun and shade. Over 18 varieties to be exact and in every color in the rainbow!
