Hydrangea - we carry varieties including Endless Summer - an awesome performer that blooms, well, all summer long! It flowers on new and old growth from July through September. Spireas - try Fire Light (2-3') with golden leaves and pink flowers or Pink Parasols, a low slightly spreading shrub with pink bi-color flowers in summer. Butterfly Bush - the butterflies flock to these all summer. A prolific bloomer in pink, blue, red, white and purple. There are even select semi-dwarf introductions that would be great in any sunny border. Sambucus– Commonly known as Ornamental Elderberry. We carry two new varieties. ‘Black Beauty’– dark black foliage with massive pink flowers in mid-summer. Can be grown as a shrub or cut it back each year and use it as a bold perennial. ‘Black Lace’ which can grow 6-8’ tall is comparable to the Japanese Maple with the same leaf shape and size . Pink flowers in early spring. Reddish berries in the fall which are edible. |
