...94 Years and still growing strong! |

At the end of the summer of 2010, we began the latest updates to our growing facilities. The last three hoop-style greenhouses were removed with the help of some of our capable staff. It was hard and dirty work. |

After demolition and some site clean-up and preparation, the truck with all the greenhouse parts arrived. It was quite an adventure getting the cargo unloaded. |
|
Soon a professional crew arrived and made quick work of putting all the pieces together. |
|
The finished greenhouses have high roofs that utilize a passive ventilation system. Concrete floors are easier to keep clean, eliminate weeds, and allow us to use carts to move product around. Automatic watering booms in addition to our drip irrigation system for hanging baskets are more water efficient and less labor intensive than hand watering. |
